Pakistan Aging Research Society (PARS)

The Pakistan Aging Research Society (PARS) promotes research to understand the causes and effects of aging. We are looking for dedicated researchers who are passionate about contributing to the body of knowledge in aging and related fields. Join us in advancing the science of aging to improve health and longevity in Pakistan.

Minimum Qualifications for Applicants:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Hold a Ph.D. degree in disciplines related to aging research, biology, medicine, or social sciences.
  • Age Requirement:
    • Applicants should be under the age of 50.
  • Citizenship and Residency:
    • Must be a resident of Pakistan.

Expectations:

  • Each PARS member is expected to:
    • Attend the Annual General Meeting of PARS every year.
    • Contribute actively to aging research and initiate projects that explore the biology of aging and social implications.
    • Dedicate time to organizing or supporting outreach activities on aging research and education.
  • Failure to attend two consecutive Annual General Meetings may result in suspension of membership.

Application Process

To apply for membership, please provide the following details:

  • A brief write-up about your professional background or organization.
  • Details on your previous work related to aging or biomedical research.
  • Your motivation for joining PARS and how you plan to contribute to its mission.

Submit your application to the Honorary General Secretary via email. Applications will be reviewed in the next Council meeting, and membership will be granted based on a collective decision of the board members.

Membership will be finalized upon payment of the required annual subscription fees.
